As many locals found this past week, the ice-off at Clark Canyon produced some VERY successful fishing days. The most popular flies to use were and remain: marabou jigs (leech patterns), and woolly buggers.
Over the past few days, the ice has receded great amounts, opening East Bench, and Lone Tree and better than half of the main island is now exposed.
Come on down to the store and let us line you up with all the gear you need to enjoy spring fishing on the lake!

The typical Montana spring is upon us! Its warm days of sun and 5 minute blizzards make for great finishing.
Clark Canyon is opening up at Red Rock and Lone Tree and is fishing great! They’re eating Marabou Jigs, Chronomids and San Juans.
The Beaverhead is fishing strong here in town and makes for excellent wading.
The Big Hole now has enough water to float a boat and fish are eagerly taking San Juans and Skwala nymph patterns.
